I’m a collector
Of beautiful things
And heart wrenching ones

And soul touching moments

I collect stories too
In names
Monies from distant lands
And books signed
“With love”
To another

My soul’s dark
And I don’t intend it so
Like a skin new-born
And already scarred
This life is not my own

And so I collect things
To call my own
Like inking my own tattoos
Over these blemishes;

I collect things

True friendship
And love
While it lasts

Genuine hysterical laughter
Worthy tears

Beautiful photographic moments
Never to be forgotten;
I collect these

I collect light from things
To trade my shadows for
