Walking home one evening
The rain drizzling
On my already wet black scarf
I heard birds chirping
From somewhere
Hidden in the trees

I love the rain on my head
Sure, it’s making me cold
But I’m heading home
And there’s a hot shower

So I can enjoy this drizzle!

And I wonder
Why aint the birds-
Wild and free
As they love to be-
Out here now
Dancing in the rain?

A voice asks me
Would you wet your clothes
If you had only a pair
To wear?
